About Me
About me...
I have spent most of my life with horses. I started riding at 7 and had my first pony aged 9 . I have competed successfully in a number of disciplines including Eventing, Show Jumping & Dressage. I have many years of experience riding, breeding, competing and handling horses for owners and friends, helping with riding advice, training issues and ‘difficult’ horses.
I have always been interested in horse behaviour and in particular, how horses think & learn. Having experienced many ‘difficult horses’ in my lifetime I decided to study the actual science of equine behaviour to obtain the knowledge. Having first hand experience of the many conflicting opinions within the Equestrian field, I am passionate about helping people with the Ethology and Ecology behind our handsome, intelligent partners.
I studied Equine Behaviour at MSc Level, with Dr Debbie Marsden BSc, PHD who is Internationally recognised as one of the worlds leading experts in her field.
I am also qualified to BHS level 2 & have my PTT. I am fully insured & regulated as an Equine Behaviourist.
